Aniruddha Bapu - The Sadguru
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the year 1906, on the day of Gudi Padva, when Bapu's Great Grand Father GopinathShastri Padhye was immersed in his daily upasana, he had a vision. He saw Shree Swami Samartha Maharaj of Akkalkot, who instructed him to do the Shri Datta Upasana in the village of Nimba situated on the banks of the Tapi river. GopinathShastri immediately left for the village of Nimba and on the day of Ramnavmi, began the upasana of Shridatta as per Swami Samartha's instructions. This upasana continued for a total of three years, i.e. until the Ramnavmi of 1909.

On the day of Ramnavmi of 1909, Swami Samartha actually appeared at this 'Punyakshetra' and asked GopinathShastri, ''What boon would you like to be granted?'' GopinathShastri replied, ''May the bhakti and the seva that is offered unto You, progressively grow in the Padhye family. I ask that You be with the family, at all times and that You grace this family by taking birth in it.'' GopinathShastri  was of course, a great bhakta and never yearned for anything but the Sadguru. Granting this wish, Swami Samartha replied, ''You will have a daughter and she too, will have a daughter. The son to be born to your grand-daughter on the day of Tripurari Pournima, is the supreme 'bharga' of Shri Dattaguru. (the energy that blazes down sin). It is indeed the Ultimate and Supreme Divine Energy of the very core, the heart of Shri Vitthal that is going to assume human form.''
That was Swami Samartha's Word and so it was infallible. It had to come true. GopinathShastri had a daughter, Malti Padhye (Shakuntalabai Pandit after marriage). Shakuntalabai had a daughter, Arundhati, who was her only daughter. The son born to her (to Mata Arundhati) is indeed the 'Parama Bharga' of Shri Dattaguru, none other than our Sadguru Shree Aniruddha Bapu.
Bapu's spiritual movement started with a modest handful of followers in 1996. Since then, the Bhakti-Ganga (ardent followers and devotees of Bapu) has grown to over four million in India and abroad. This phenomenal growth is without any 'poster publicity' and is singularly attributable to the personal experiences of his followers, who found in him a trustworthy savior and guide in their lives.
Bapu openly declares that He is not an incarnation or Avataar. He does not perform any worldly miracles. He firmly believes that purification of mind, body and soul is the greatest miracle in our lives. It is his hobby to teach those who want to fight against their ill fate and rise in life (spiritually as well as worldly) by making them capable in every aspect of life.

The transition from Dr Aniruddha Joshi to Aniruddha Bapu is an interesting story. Shree Sai Baba of Shirdi had handed over three of his personal belongings to Shree Govind Raghunath Dabholkar, who was also known as Hemadpant and was a close devotee of Sai Baba. Baba had assured him that one day he would come back take the possession of His belongings. As time elapsed, Sai Baba's belongings were then passed on over to Hemadpant's grand-son, Govind Gajanan Dabholkar also known as Appa Dabholkar. This secret was known only to the family members of Shree Govind Dabholkar. The belongings contained a Shaligram (holy stone used in Puja), a small Trishul (trident) and a Jap Mala (rosary). These belongings were mantained by Shree Dabholkar at Sai Nivas, his ancestral home at Bandra. In fact, it was Sai Nivas, where Hemadpant, with the blessings of Shree Sainath, composed the eternal scripture, Shree Saisatcharitra. Dr. Joshi, who is an ardent devotee of Saibaba and visits Sai Niwas regularly, met the Dabholkar family at their home. On May 27, 1996, Dr. Joshi went to Sai Niwas and asked for the articles belonging to Sai Baba. It was then that the entire family was blessed to see the manifestation of Sai Baba Himself.
In His three Granthas (Satyapravesh, Prem Pravas and Anand Sadhana) Bapu has very aptly described Himself as:

I. Shree Aniruddha Gurukshetram

"Shree Aniruddha Gurukshetram" as the name implies, is the Abode (Nivaas sthaan) of the Five Guru's of Sadguru Shree Aniruddha Bapu, namely., Shri Dattaguru, Shri Gayatrimata, Shri Hanumant, Shri Sainath and Shri Ram. On 3 September, 2007, on the auspicious occasion of Gokula Ashtami, Param Poojya Sadguru Shree Aniruddha Bapu unveiled 'Shree Aniruddha Gurukshetram' the Teerthakshetra. Here are some notable points about this Holy place.

Shree Dattaguru
  • The one and only tasbir (picture) of Param-pita Parameshwar Shree Dattaguru which was given to Shree Aniruddha by his Sadguru "Shree Gopinath Shastri Padhye", is sited for darshan.
  • This picture was obtained by Shree Gopinath Shastri as a blessing from Shree Hanumanta.
  • Shri Aniruddha has been performing the poojan (worship) of this photograph since he was 8 years old.
Shree Adimata Anasuya Chandika
  • Adimata Anasuya is the sthool rupa (tangible form) of Adimata Gayatri.
  • An utmost beautiful picture of Anasuya Mata, caressing the child forms of Maha Vishnu, Param Shiva & Param Brahma, is sited for darshan.
  • The Anasuya Mata Aarti, written by Sadguru Bapu himself, is recited every day while worshipping Mata Anasuya Chandika.
Dharmasan
  • This is the seat of Dharma (Right Conduct) and Purity installed by Sadguru Shree Aniruddha himself in front of the tasbir (picture) of Shree Dattaguru.
  • Bhaktas (devotees) can perform poojan of the Dharmasan by applying Shodasha-gandha (a paste of 16 herbs)
Shrimad Purushartha Purushottam Yantra
  • Shrimad Purushartha Purushottam Yantra is a supreme yantra (device) installed by Sadguru Shree Aniruddha empowered and enlightened through the Upasana of Aadya Pipa dada and Samir dada.
  • This Yantra has the residence of Bapu's Panchaguru (Five Guru's) with Punchamukha Hanumanta (Lord Hanuman with 5 faces) residing at the centre of this Yantra.
  • In all, there are 13 mantras (sacred chants) scripted in this Yantra.
  • The darshan (sight) of this Yantra is extremely virtuous and "Bestowing Forgiveness" is the primary attribute of this Yantra.
Trivikram
  • Tuesday, 30th March 2010, Chaitra Pournima marked the extremely holy arrival of Shree Trivikram (Trivikram Sthapana) at Shree Aniruddha Gurukshetram.
  • Trivikram is the Omkar, the Paramshiv, the Mahavishnu. It is the Gun Pratik (symbol) of Lord Harihar (Vishnu and Shiva together).
  • Trivikram is the total culmination and the ultimate complete symbol of the Sadguru tatva (the core principles of Sadguru).
  • Tri means three and Vikram means victory or to win over. Trivikram kills evil, propagates and enhances Dharma (Righteousness) and establishes Maryada (Right Limitations).
  • Trivikram wins the entire universe in just three steps. The 3 steps which Trivikram takes in our life are :
    1. Akaran Karunya i.e. Unconditional and unreasoned love
    2. Kshama i.e. Forgiveness
    3. Acceptance of Sharanya (complete refuge at Lord's feet)
  • Accordingly, the three steps that we need to take to reciprocate Trivikram are
    1. Dhyan i.e. Devotion towards Trivikram
    2. Chintan / Abhyass i.e. study and practice of what is proposed by Lord
    3. Dhyas i.e. only one wish that I want Him (Lord)
Shree Adimata Mahishasurmardini Chandika
  • Adimata Gayatri Chandika – Chidakash Swamini (the master of  the sky of supreme consciousness), Adimata MahishasuraMardini Chandika – Antariksha Swamini (the master of infinite space), and Adimata Anasuya Chandika – Prithivi Swamini (the master of all the elements of the earth), are in fact one and the same.
  • To ensure the systematic progress of mankind, the Aadimata acts on these three levels in three different forms.
  • MahisurMardini Utsav, from 9th August 2009 to 17 August 2009, marked the arrival of Adimata MahishasuraMardini at Shree Aniruddha Gurukshetram, in her fully manifested form, with weapons in her 18 hands, for destruction of Evil and at same time, for showering infinite love on her son Paramatma and his bhaktas (devotees).
  • The idol of Mahishasurmardini established in the Gurukshetram  is not merely a sculpture, but She Herself has incarnated in the subtle form. Hence, taking her darshan at Shree Aniruddha Gurukshetram holds immense and extra-ordinary importance.
The Cistern of Udi
  • The cistern placed in Shreee Aniruddha Gurukshetram provides  Udi (sacred ash) which is purified by the touch of Sadguru Bapu Himself.
  • As always narrated by Shree Sainath, the use of Udi helps the bhaktas (devotees) to cleanse their soul and most importantly helps to rid them off their sorrows.
  • Udi also works as our strongest savior from the Realm of Dark forces. The UDI is fully free of cost and available to everyone at Shree Aniruddha Gurukshetram.
Shree Kirat Rudra & Mata Shiv-Ganga-Gauri
  • Sadguru Shree Aniruddha did the Sthapana (installation) of Shree Kiraat Rudra and Mata Shiv-Ganga-Gauri on 12th December, 2012.
  • Like Shree Guru Dattatreya and Paramatma, Shree Kiraat Rudra is also the son of Adimata Chandika, who is considered elder to Paramatma and younger to Shree Guru Dattatreya.
  • Mata Shiva-Ganga-Gauri is the SahaDharmaCharini of Shree Kiraat Rudra.
  • Support to Pavitrya (Sanctity), Inspiration to the Uchit (Appropriate) and Inhibition of the Anuchit (Inappropriate) are the main actions of Shree Kiraat Rudra and Mata Shiv-Ganga-Gauri.
Shree Moolark Ganesh
  • On the day of 4th September, 2012, Angaraki Chaturthi of the Adhik Maas (month), Sadguru Shree Aniruddha did the installed (Sthapana) the divine, Siddha (equipped with matchless capacities) and Svayambhu (self-existent) Shree Moolark Ganesh at Shree Aniruddha Gurukshetram.
  • The Shree Moolark Ganesh assumes shape at the roots of the Shwet-Maandaar tree that is 21-25 years old. The tree that has the Shree Maandaar Ganesh at its roots, is ever fresh green and ever in bloom, which explains its special and unique appearance.

Shree Krishna Sabhapeetham

    • An idol of the eight year old Shree Krishna lifting the Govardhan Parvat (mountain) is sited for darshan.
    • Every pillar of the Sabha-Peetham holds a painting of each of the 10 Gurus of Shree Aniruddha and the Saints who were immersed in the devotion of Shree Krishna.
    Pushkarni Teertha
    • In the exact centre of this sacred place is the 'Muchkund Vriksha' blessed by Shree Radha. The water used for the Abhishekh of Lord Krishna's idol waters the Pushkarinee Teertha.
    • The Harivijay Granth states that 12 Parikrama (rounds) of the Muchkund Vriksha fills our life with joy. Bushes of the Krishna Tulsi demarcate the path of the Parikrama.
    Garud Stambha/Pap-Vimochak Stambha
    • Garud Stambh (pillar/column) has been erected in front of the Shri Krishna temple and Pushkarini thirthkunda on a raised platform.
    • On the Garud Stambh bowing along the east & west direction facing Lord Shri Krishna & Pushkarni Teertha is the Lord Hanuman & bowing down along the north & south direction is the Lord Garuda.
    • The Pradakshina (circumambulations) of Garud Stambh helps us to get rid of sins and increase our devotion towards our Sadguru.
    Dwarka Mai

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    IV. Shree Atulit Bal Dham
The Sthapana (establishment) of Shree Atulit Bal Dham was done by Sadguru Shree Aniruddha Bapu on July 10, 2003 on the auspicious occasion of Ashadhi Ekadashi.
Shree Atulit Bal Dham is a Shakti-peeth (a holy place of cosmic power), a Triveni Sangam of Atulit-bal, Pavitrya and Saundarya (triple convergence of incomparable strength, purity/sacredness and beauty). It is the holy abode of Goddess Jagadamba. Shree Jagadamba resides in the swaroopa (form) of the Digvijay Ishtika (the brick of universal conquest), and the land where this Shakti-peeth has been established belongs to Shree Maha-Shesha (the holy serpent of Lord Maha-Vishnu). Here are some notable points about this Holy place.

    Shree Digvijay Ishtika
Ishtika means Ishta i.e. only that which is appropriate shall be done and fulfilled. The Digvijay Ishtika was received by a devotee from Shree Dattaguru. On the day of June 6th, 2001, at 3.30 a.m, i.e. the time of Brahmamuhurta, Shree Dattaguru blessed him in his dream and immediately after the devotee woke up, Shree Dattaguru came in form of Sadhu at the devotee's door and presented him with the Digvijay Ishtika. This Ishtika is Dig-Vijayi which means the universal conqueror and whoever shall stand in front of it and ask for fulfillment of his wishes with a pure heart, shall be certainly granted his wish.

    Kshema-Kumbh
Kshema-kumbh is not just a well, but a holy place in itself. 'Kshema' is another name of Shesha (The Holy Serpent of Maha-Vishnu). Hence this well was named as 'Kshema-kumbh'. Many bhaktas take home this water as 'Tirtha' (Holy water). The water from this Kshemakumbha is used for the garden, vegetable patch etc. of Atulit Bal Dham. Yet, till date, this Kshemakumbh is always completely full.

    Audumbar
The place in front of this 'Kshema-kumbh' is Sant Namdev Maharaj's place, an Audumbar tree. During the inauguration of this place, the 'Chooda-mani' (a crest jewel) was installed. 'Chooda-mani' means the younger brother of 'Ishtika'. Here we can do 'Sudeep daan' or donate candle lights. There are 5 types of Sudeep : 1) Iccha Purti – for fulfillment of our wishes; 2) Peeda Naashak – to destroy our pains and sufferings; 3) Baadhaa Nivaarak – which destroys any obstacles; 4) Darshan Deep'- for blessings of our Sadguru, and Janmadin Sudeep – to get blessings on our birthdays.

    Tulasi Vrindavan
The Tulasi Vrindavan in front of the entrance is the place of Sant Janabai. When we make pradakshina (circum-ambulate) around the  Audumbar tree, i.e. the place of Namdev Maharaj, we experience distinct waves of joy in our hearts. Similarly at the Tulasi Vrindavan i.e. Sant Janabai's place, we get a feeling of happiness. In both these places, the bhaktas (devotees) can sense the presence of these Great Saints' in a heightened state of devotion.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    V. Shree Kshetra Sadguru Nivas-Gurukul
On 28th & 29th April.1999, on the auspicious day of Vaishaakh Pornima, Sadguru Shree Aniruddha Bapu did the Sthapana (establishment) of GURUKUL at Jui-Nagar in Mumbai. This place has a very significant and ancient importance, which is as follows:
    • 350 years back Aadya Shankaracharya had done the Upasana (prayer) and meditation on this land itself.
    • Lord Parshuram had also resided on this land for some duration.
    • Shri Mahalaxmi, Shri Mahakali, Shri Mahasaraswati had presence here for some time, waiting for the Sadguru who would come and allow them to be manifested.
Given below are the various important features of this holy place.

Pancha Purushartha Devata (The five Devata (deities) of the five Goals of Life)
In the middle section of GURUKUL, called the Garbhagruha, Sadguru Bapu has done the Sthapana (installation) of idols of five Devatas, given below. These idols have been sculpted from the rocks of the Gandaki River.
    • Goddess Mahakali – Symbol of Kaam (Right Desire)
    • Goddess Mahalakshmi – Symbol of Artha (Right Wealth)
    • Goddess Mahasaraswati – Symbol of Dharma (Right Conduct)
    • Godess Shree Shantadurga – Symbol of Moksha (Salvation)
    • God Shree Mangesh – Symbol of Bhakti (Devotion)
Facing the idols are two Lions, namely,
Alhaad – Symbol of Krupa (Bliss)
Santosh – Symbol of Samadhan (Contentment)

    Maha Yogpeeth Swarupadhyaas
On one of the Stambha (pillar) in front of Goddess Shantadurga, Sadguru Bapu has placed a Kalash (a holy Urn) that contains the soil from 30 tirthakshetras (pilgrimage places) and the holy water from 7 rivers across India. Whoever comes here, receives the blessings for the virtues of the last 100 years, which is why it is called the "Maha Yogpeeth Swarupadhyaas".

    Dharma Chakra
Dharama Chakra in reality means the Sudarshan Chakra, which is Maha-Vishnu's weapon. This Dharama Chakra can be established only by one who is a Mahayodha (great warrior) with the aim of destruction of Adharma (Non-righteousness) and restoration of true Dharma (Righteousness).
Sadguru Shree Aniruddha Bapu laid the foundation (sthapana) of the Dharma Chakra at the hands of his Guru, Shree Makarand Swami. Before this, only Lord Parshuram and Lord Shri Krishna had installed the Dharama Chakra. After them Sadguru Bapu has been the first and only one to install the Dharma Chakra in the Kaliyug.

    Vishwalochan Chakraraj
On the second floor Bapu has established the Vishwalochan Chakraraj and this is the fifteenth one in order. Vishwalochan Chakra means the eye that sees the entire universe. The number "1" in the middle section of the Vishwalochan Chakra which signifies the Mahapran Hanumant. The pure vibrations of this are beneficial to all bhaktas (devotees) who sit and read/study here. One can memorize 80% of what he studies if one sits before this chakra and develops the practice.

    Dhuni (The Holy Fire)
Sadguru Shree Aniruddha himself first lit this Dhuni on 28th September, 2000 to shower his blessings and grace on all the bhaktas. Since then it has been burning continuously. The Udi (Sacred Ash) that we get from this Dhuni is because of Bapu's Sankalp Shakti. The use of Udi helps the bhaktas to cleanse themselves and most importantly helps to rid them off their sorrows.

Shree Vidyamakarand Gopinath Shastri Padhye Study Room
Shree Gopinathshashtri Padhye is Sadguru Shree Aniruddha Bapu's human Guru (mentor). He was a highly regarded intellectual of his time and an authoritarian in Vedas and Shashtras, a devout bhakta (devotee) of Shree Sainath and Lord Vitthal. His presence is felt even today in the study room. In this study room bhaktas chant stotras, do naamsmaran, read the Granthas (holy books and scriptures) and meditate.

Aadya Pipa Raksha-Kalash Samadhi Sthaan (Holy Shrine of Aadya Pipa, Late Sureshchandra Dattopadhye)
With the resolve of Sadguru Bapu, Shree Aadya Pipa's Samadhi (Holy Shrine) was established (Sthapana) on 19th April 2007, in the  presence of Param Poojya Aniruddha Bapu himself along with, Param Poojya Nandaai and Param Poojya Suchitdada.
This Raksha-Kalash contains mixture of Udi (Sacred Ash) given to Aadya Pipa's father
by Param Poojya Sainath himself along with the Udi that was given to Aadyapipa by Param Poojya Aniruddha Bapu himself which is mixed with the mortal remains of Aadyapipa. The six steps of this Samadhi stands for the 6 purusharthas (Goals of Life), namely; Dharma (Right conduct), Artha (Right Wealth), Kaam (Right Desire), Moksha (Salvation), Bhakti (Devotion) and Maryada (Right Limitations) that Aadya Pipa realized with his Piplika Panth (way). The Saisatcharita Granth that Aadya Pipa read daily is placed on the top of the Samadhi.
    Ghantta (The Holy Bell)
The Sthapana (installation) of the Ghantta of Adimata Chandika was done at GURUKUL on 1st January, 2010. The installation was done amidst the chanting of the following mantra 54 times.

! Hinasti daitya-tejansi swanena-purya ya jagat,
Sa ghanta patu no devi pape-bhyoho na suta-neeva !

VI. Sai Niwas

Shree Sai Niwas is a holy pilgrim place for devotees just like Pandharpur is a pilgrim place for the warkaris.

‘Shree Sai Niwas’ is the residence of Shri. Govind Raghunath Dabholkar alias Hemadpant, who scripted the Grantha (holy scripture) Shree Saisatcharita.
  • It was in this holy abode that Sainath held the hand of Hemadpant and made him script the divine grantha Shri Saisatcharita
  • On the day before Holi Pournima in the year 1917, Shree Hemadpant had a vision where Sainath said HE would visit hemadpant’s place for lunch. Accordingly on the day of ‘Holi’, Shree Sainath visited Sai Niwas in the form of an idol at noon and since then has resided there forever
  • In the year 1997, Sadguru Shri Aniruddha Bapu established the statue of Sainath in Sai Niwas for the purpose of meditation. From that day onwards devotees are allowed to sit or meditate in front of this divine statue and chant the mantra ‘Om Krupasindhu Shri Sainathaya Namaha’.
  • On 28th May 1996, Shri Appasaheb Dabholkar and Meenavahini Dabholkar, Grandson and Granddaughter-in-law of Shree Hemadpant had the darshan (vision) of Sainath Himself in place of Sadguru Aniruddha Bapu. Shree Sai Niwas has since then been transformed into Dwarkamaai to protect its devotees.
  • Shree Sai Niwas is located very close to Bandra Railway station (approx 10 mins. walking distance.) The postal address is ’Sai Niwas’, St. Martin Road, Bandra (West), Mumbai: 400053 The timings for taking darshan are between 8.00am to 1.00pm and 4.30pm to 10.00pm on all days except Thursday’s( 8.00am to 4.30pm).
  • In Sai Niwas, one also gets to see the desk which was used by Shree Hemadpant while scripting Shree Saisatcharita

Social Upliftment Initiatives by BAPU
 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sadguru Shree Aniruddha's preachings and teachings emanate from two fundamental principles and values - Adhyaatma (spirituality with Bhakti as the fulcrum) and Aadhaar (sustained support) Bhakti, in turn, has two facets to it - Shraddha-Bhakti and Seva-Bhakti. Following are some of the Social Upliftment activities carried out under the guidance of Sadguru Shree Aniruddha Bapu.

Under this project, free mid-day meals are  provided to children from schools in tribal areas and in municipal schools in rural areas. This is made possible by sponsors / donors who donate rice, wheat, pulses, oil, sugar, etc. Presently, mid-day meals are being provided to nearly 4000 students across 31 different schools in the rural areas by our dedicated volunteers, who themselves cook the food and serve it to the students attending the schools. Ever since the project has been introduced, there has been a marked improvement not only in the health profile of the children but also in their attendance, leading to improved grades.

The Aniruddha's Academy of  Disaster Management trains common people completely free of cost to tackle the natural and man-made disasters. During a major disaster, the core emergency services of the administration such as the fire fighters, the police and the medical support desperately require trained, smart and intelligent assistance. The AADM Basic Course is hence designed to aggregate the energies, resourcefulness and positive emotions of the masses of common people who are ever present to support the affected.

This unique project involves the making of Lord Ganesh idols from Paper Pulp. These idols are made from shredded paper of 'Ram naam' notebooks used by the devotees, who write 'Ramnaam' and deposit the notebooks with the sister organization, Aniruddha's Universal Bank of Ram naam (AUBR).

A Mega Health-care camp is organized by the organization every year in the remote areas of Kolhapur. Some major activities of this Camp are :

A Mega Blood donation camp is organized once a year by the Foundation with the help of its sister organizations. The Government of Maharashtra felicitated the Foundation for its commendable achievement. In addition, many small blood donation camps are conducted by local centers of AADM throughout the year across Maharashtra. The total number of blood bottles collected between Jan. 2005 and June 2008 is approx. 17,950.

The project has been targeted to reach out to the entire country over the next three years, wherein the Cassettes/CDs will be prepared in different languages of the country, depending on the requirement. Volunteers, primarily ladies, record the Cassettes/CDs sitting at home, which gives them an ideal opportunity of balancing home and work, and in the process getting a sense of fulfillment. So far, more than 30,000 Cassettes and 3000 CDs have been distributed to various schools and institutions, free of cost, across India and other countries. Till date, nearly 65,000 students have benefited from these recorded audio books.
Shree Aniruddha Upasana Foundation, through its 250 odd centers and thousands of volunteers, has commenced work in co-ordination with Shree Aniruddha Aadesh Pathak and Aniruddha Samarpan Pathak for achieving the ultimate objective of Samartha Bharat-a strong and self reliant India

Yarn spun by volunteers is made into cloth to be distributed among needy students and their families. Thousands of followers of Sadguru Shree Aniruddha Bapu spin the Amber charkhas for making thread. The hanks produced from threads are collected and converted into cloth.
School uniforms of various sizes are stitched from this cloth after proper processing and are distributed, free of cost, among the students in order to motivate and encourage them to attend school. Till date, More than 1,00,000 sets of uniforms have been distributed to about 25,000 students under the Charkha Project.

Under this scheme, people in urban areas, where water is available in abundance, grow "grass" in their houses and in open spaces. The grass so collected is sent to farmers in the drought stricken areas to feed their cattle. Till date truckloads of grass has been distributed through our Pune centre in Purander taluka.

Old paper collected from people is converted into paper bags to use instead of non-biodegradable plastic. Paper pulp is used to make articles for distribution to needy students as an incentive to go to school.
Devotees of P. P. Sadguru Shree Aniruddha Bapu, instead of selling old/used newspapers/magazines/notebooks as scrap, donate the same to the Shree Aniruddha Upasana Foundation. These are then converted into such useful articles, as paper bags. Further, paper pulp made out of this paper is used to make articles such as Word chart, toys and alphabetical blocks, which are distributed to poor students as an incentive for them to attend school.

Old utensils, clothing, books, toys etc, will be collected for distribution to needy students. The organization collects used (but not torn) clothes, old utensils, old text books, and blank pages of note books (to convert them in new note books) and old toys (non battery operated) and many more. These articles are properly serviced and then distributed to the families of poor students, in order to encourage them to send their children to school.
The clothes and utensils so collected are also distributed amongst the people affected by natural calamities and disasters. The distribution is done in different needy areas all over Maharashtra. Thus far, around 7,84,000 pieces of different types of clothes and around 3,00,000 utensils, have been distributed to more than 2,00,000 needy people.
In addition, approximately 55,000 students from 182 schools have been given different articles, including clothing, for their use. Clothes & Utensils were also distributed in flood affected areas across Maharashtra and in Mumbai during the unprecedented and devastating floods of 26th July 2005.

Torn cloth is used to make quilts for the poor. Torn clothes or pieces of cloth are collected by the devotees and converted into quilts, which are then gifted to needy workers, students, women and old persons. The volunteers, both men and women are imparted training on how to make quilts. So far more than 2200 pieces of quilts have been prepared and distributed to needy people.

Under this program, candles and matchboxes donated by devotees are distributed free of cost to poor students in rural areas, where there is no supply of electricity, thus enabling them to study in candlelight.

Ahilya is the personification of the misery of the indianwoman; caught between the injustice of society and that of her husband. The Ahilya Sangh has been formed for suitably equipping women with the requisite strength and resolve to counter any exploitation and to face any adversity with fortitude. All the Indian martial arts needed for the self protection of women have been taught to a select batch of 15 volunteers 'free of cost'. These fully trained volunteers are now, in turn, training subsequent batches, each comprising of 80 volunteers. Till date, more than 800 ladies have been trained under Ahilya Sangh Project.

Each one is expected to learn a language apart from the mother tongue and languages that are already known. A facility to house this activity is being created. Around 1200 volunteers are already studying different Indian languages, apart from their mother tongue which, in time to come, will become the harbinger of national integration in its truest sense.

Every year, during and after the "Ganpati festival", the Lord Ganesha idols that get washed on to the shore on the day following the day of immersion, are re-immersed into the sea by the volunteers of the Foundation in association with the volunteers of Aniruddha's Academy of Disaster Management.

Work is also going on in orphanages at Kolhapur and Mumbai, where the inmates are trained in physical fitness and are taught to recite prayers. Those desirous of pursuing their education are given tuitions. Seva is also being performed at the Sion Paraplegic Foundation, wherein the volunteers regularly interact with students suffering from mental depression due to their physical handicap and help them regain their lost confidence.
The volunteers perform the following sevas in Mumbai, Pune and Kolhapur:
  • Periodic medical examination and provision of medicines
  • Jaap and Upasana
  • Conducting regular classes for students
  • Special tuitions for SSC students
  • Distribution of sweets during festivals
  • Physical training
Daily sessions are conducted between 6.30 p.m. and 8.30 p.m. at various centers in the presence of volunteers of the organization and trained doctors. Till date, approximately 2750 people have benefited from the de-addiction programme and almost 70% (1950 people) have been completely cured. Currently, the de-addiction programme is being conducted at 26 Upasana Centers in Mumbai and all over Maharashtra.

Although our nation has been making steady economic progress, the state of the average Indian woman, who is the backbone of the family, does not seem to have improved appreciably. Keeping this in view, women are encouraged to attend classes, wherein they are imparted training in the day-to-day requirements of life and a positive mindset is nurtured.
This free training program of 6 months encompasses a variety of innovative activities to make women self sufficient in the daily affairs of their respective lives. The training includes learning to handle bank transactions, cultivating and improving speaking skills in the English language, knitting, craft, beauty care, dramatics, dance and also other domestic activities such as changing of gas cylinders, small electrical solutions, etc. The main objective of these classes is to develop and enhance the self-confidence of women and make them bold enough to face any adversity / setback in their lives.

Param Poojya Sadguru Shri Aniruddha Bapu is himself an exponent of the ancient Indian Martial Arts (Bal Vidya) such as Mudgal Vidya, Ashva Vidya, Surtabhedan Vidya and Yashwanti Malla Vidya, to name a few.
Bapu believes that the energy acquired through these Vidyas can  bring about major positive changes in the world. During ancient times, India was known and valued for its physical and mental health, to which the comprehensive study and judicious practice of these Vidyas made a significant contribution. With the purpose of bringing back the bygone golden era and to make his devotees strong and self-reliant, Param Poojya Bapu has personally trained the Pratham Acharya in these ancient martial arts. The Pratham Acharya now trains subsequent batches of dedicated volunteers.

To nurture the potential and to explore the hidden talent of children, a fifteen day summer vacation camp by the name 'DhangadDhinga' is organized every year by the Foundation in collaboration with Sai Samartha Vidnyan Prabodhini. Children between the ages of 8 and 12 years are given 15 days practical training, keeping in view the overall development of their personality, that is commensurate with their age. In this camp, through free interaction and a playful atmosphere, children are encouraged to develop a positive and healthy attitude and to inculcate self discipline in them which, in turn, gives a tremendous boost to their self.

Even after doing such numerous Sevas,
the volunteers say that we are not social workers...
but, we are devotional workers...

We are devoted to our Bapu.

AMBADNYA!
